Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress best known for her performances in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading character in various TV dramas. The audience was impressed by her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra was involved in many notable projects, both nationally as well as internationally. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, and French historical miniseries Napoleon.
